I work with an integrative approach, which means that I integrate ideas and insights drawn from different counselling models in order to respond appropriately to the needs of individual clients.
My earlier training as an Holistic Therapist developed my understanding of holistic health to include all aspects of what it means to be a healthy human being. I believe that health is a whole body/mind condition, and that we can positively affect our physical wellbeing by changing how we think or feel.
It is thought that unresolved emotional and psychological issues can affect physical health; so much can be held and stored within our body, the emotional and physical can be tightly interwoven. I believe the body can be a source of great wisdom. My therapeutic approach will often include body observation, relaxation and awareness.
